INSTITUTO MÁRIO PENNA - Núcleo de Ensino, Pesquisa e Inovação (NEPI)

A reference in oncology in the state of Minas Gerais, the Mário Penna Institute is projecting itself as a leading player on the scientific scene through the Mário Pena Institute - Teaching, Research and Innovation. The unit aims to expand academic projects, transform health care and foster cancer diagnostic innovation in the country.

The Education sector promotes numerous events and activities that contribute to the continuous training of its clinical and care staff, as well as the dissemination of relevant content on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer pathologies, receiving the support of numerous care and teaching institutions and industries in the sector.

With regard to Clinical Research, the sector works in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry to validate new therapeutic modalities, bringing hope of treatment to patients who often have no alternatives. The Translational Research sector has an exquisite technological park and works to develop innovative and strategic research, generating knowledge and advances that contribute to the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of cancer.

The Mário Penna Journal - molecular and clinical cancer research is the journal linked to the Mário Penna Institute - Teaching, Research and Innovation. It is an important tool for disseminating knowledge in the field of oncology and human health.

Its mission is to promote multidisciplinary scientific dissemination in the field of clinical, translational and basic research in oncology, involving researchers, doctors and other health professionals in oncology research.

The aim is to encourage the scientific production of scientific articles, reviews and case studies related to the various themes related to oncology specialties and their interrelationships, such as: Clinical Oncology, Hematology, Oncopediatrics, Oncological Surgery, Oncological Nursing, Oncological Pharmacy, Clinical Research and Translational Research in Oncology.

The target audience is undergraduates, postgraduates, masters, doctors, professors, researchers and the scientific community in general.
